E-Commerce Manager

Job Summary

The E-Commerce (EC) Manager in Integrated Communication Agency is a pivotal role that bridges client business growth in overall to e-commerce execution within an agency network structure. He/ She will lead end-to-end e-commerce services for clients, from strategy and planning to platform execution, while working closely with cross-functional teams across the Group. As the key client-facing EC representative, the EC Manager combines deep EC expertise with a strong business mindset -understanding the overall business strategy and translating it into effective e-commerce execution.

Job Responsibility

♦ Client Management

  • Primary point of contact for all EC-related client briefings and project management
  • Translate client business goals into clear, actionable EC execution plans
  • Collaborate closely with internal brand, creative, and performance teams to ensure EC strategy stays aligned with business strategy

♦ Execution Partner Oversight

(Execution Partner refers to the third-party platform execution partner managing day-to-day EC operations on behalf of clients).

  • Coordinate and supervise the Execution Partner across the full EC project lifecycle.
  • Ensure all deliverables meet client expectations and Brand Agency’s commitments.
  • Proactively manage risks and keep all stakeholders informed and aligned.

♦ EC Strategy & Growth

  • Advise on EC strategies tailored to each client’s business objectives and category.
  • Monitor performance data and deliver continuous optimization recommendations.
  • Track market trends and contribute to EC as a strategic service offering at Brand Agency.

Required Skills/ Abilities

♦ Core EC

  • EC Platform Operations: Proficient in operating major e-commerce platforms (Shopee, Lazada, TikTok Shop, Tiki, etc.) and/or owned EC websites; understands end-to-end operations from product listing to fulfilment.
  • Evaluate EC Strategy & Planning: Able to evaluate an EC strategy covering channel selection, catalogue structure, pricing, promotions, and campaign planning aligned with revenue targets.
  • Performance Analytics: Analyses EC data (GMV, conversion rate, CAC, ROAS, LTV) to drive data-informed optimization decisions.
  • Digital Marketing Integration: Integrates EC with broader marketing activities including SEO/SEM, paid social, CRM, email marketing, influencer and livestream commerce.
  • UX/UI for EC: Evaluates and provides actionable feedback to improve user experience across EC platforms.
  • EC Tech & Systems: Understands core EC system architecture (OMS, WMS, payment gateway, API integration); able to communicate effectively with technical teams without needing to write code.

  • Business Acumen: Understands client business models and P&L; positions EC as a revenue growth lever, not merely a sales channel.
  • Brand Strategy: Grasps brand strategy and positioning; ensures all EC activities accurately reflect brand identity and values.
  • Growth Mindset: Committed to continuous learning, experimentation, and improvement; adapts quickly to market changes and evolving EC technologies.
  • Commercial Thinking: Evaluates EC solutions through a cost-benefit lens; prioritizes initiatives with clear ROI and feasible resource requirements.

♦ Project Management

  • Planning & Execution: Develops detailed project plans covering scope, timeline, milestones, and risk registers; monitors progress and adjusts flexibly as needed.
  • Stakeholder & Partner Management: Effectively coordinates multiple stakeholders (clients, cross-functional teams across the Group); manages expectations with clarity and transparency.
  • Risk Management: Proactively identifies risks, escalates at the right moment, and proposes solutions to keep projects on track.
  • Agile / Hybrid PM: Applies flexible project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, or hybrid) suited to the nature of EC projects.

♦ Communication & Collaboration

  • Client-Facing Communication: Confidently presents, persuades, and defends recommendations in front of C-level clients; communicates professionally with both Vietnamese and English-speaking stakeholders.
  • Cross-functional Work: Works effectively with colleagues across creative, strategy, media, and tech teams; builds consensus and fosters a collaborative cross-functional culture.
  • Presentation & Reporting: Produces professional EC reports, proposals, and decks; presents insights clearly for both technical and business audiences.

Experience, Education, Personal Attributes

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in e-commerce management, preferably within a digital or integrated marketing agency.
  • Experience in Social commerce, Affiliate marketing, relationship with MCNs is a plus.
  • Proven track record of managing EC campaigns on Shopee, Lazada, and/or TikTok Shop in Vietnam.
  • Experience in client servicing or account management in an agency environment is strongly preferred.
  • Exposure to IMC, Brand Strategy, or working alongside creative and brand teams is a significant advantage.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, E-Commerce, Digital Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or related fields.
  • EC certifications (Google Analytics, Meta Blueprint, Shopee/Lazada Partner, etc.) are a plus.
